After meeting up with a 300zx buddy and driving around for a while i was on my way home. I was cruising home on the freeway and about to merge over, only to look in my rear view mirror to see what appear to be friendly Z lights. I quickly move over a lane and let what i thought was a (friendly) next to me. When he pulled up next to me he WOT! I realized it is an Acura NSX. I was in fifth, so i attempted to downshift to third only to miss the gear and redline my car, after getting it in gear I WOT! I was slowly but surely gaining on him. After i reached about 140 we were dead even. We both slowed to 80 and cruised about a mile. We finally got a straight away. This time i was ready, in third, doing 80, about 5,000 RPM's! I let him hit it first, then i let loose, it was a quick and painfull death for him this time. I pulled probably about 3 car lengths right off the bat, then 6 car lengths, then 10 and shut down at about 130. He pulled up next to me and gave me a short wave before i exited the freeway. Times like this make me appreciate my $20,000 that can destroy a $60,000? vehicle. Just wanted to share with my fellow Z'ers! You would of been proud!
